What Seagate Does Here
The worldwide Recording Heads operation headquartered in Bloomington is the company's internal and principal supplier of recording heads. The division's leading research and development capabilities allow the company to design and develop best-in-class read/write heads for hard drives. Disk drive head technology is one of the most precise, complex and dynamic technologies in computing. It is the disk drive head—no larger than a grain of coarse sand—that writes, saves, erases, receives and sends data.

In 2009, Forbes magazine ranked Cupertino as one of the most educated small towns in America. Nationally-recognized for its high-achieving primary and secondary schools, Cupertino is home to De Anza College, one of the leading community colleges in the Bay Area. The University of California-Santa Cruz and University of San Francisco have satellite campuses in Cupertino, and San Jose State University, Santa Clara University, Stanford University and the main UC-Santa Cruz campuses are nearby.

Cupertino attractions include the highly-regarded Euphrat Museum of Art and Flint Center for the Performing Arts, which is used by the California Youth and San Francisco Symphonies. Your children will have the opportunity to attend The St. Vrain Valley School District or one of the many institutes for higher education. The Front Range Community College has a campus in Longmont. The Longmont area has some great sporting activities. Approximately 40 miles Southwest of Longmont is the Eldora Mountain Resort with seven chairlifts and a long, two-mile ski run. Seagate enjoys a 40-plus year history in Oklahoma City.The Oklahoma City facility maintains the IT US Business Data Center, which supports global functions and programs that keeps Seagate going on a 24X7 basis. Included in this operation is IT Development and the Employee Services Help Desk. In addition the facility serves as the company's Global Center for Customer Technical Support. Also, there are several support departments or groups located at the Oklahoma City site such as Contracts, Sales, and Technical Publications. Also located here is HR Central, the company's human resources service and call center for the U.S. and Europe.

What Seagate Does Here
In Scotts Valley, a small mountain community overlooking Silicon Valley where Seagate was founded over 30 years ago, the company maintains an IT team that provides Global Business Application, Network, Desktop Services, Business Intelligence and e-Security design, architecture and support. Seagate’s Scotts Valley location also houses the company’s Motor Technology Group (MTG), which supports the development of the sophisticated motors that power hard drives.
