Wuxi
The Seagate operation in China was established in 1995 to build the latest generation hard drives for the PC and consumers. Located in the Wuxi-Singapore Industrial Park, Jiangsu Province, the Wuxi plant underwent a major expansion in 2002. The 50,000 square meter state-of-the-art facility houses automated printed circuit board assembly lines, hard drive product lines and testing operations—all designed to address the increasing demand for volume production in the region. Today Seagate Wuxi is the company’s largest hard drive manufacturing facility. The plant also plays a strategic role in establishing the company’s leadership position in the world’s fastest growing technology market.

Seagate Wuxi combines top-notch manufacturing technology with a highly qualified team of engineers. Teams actively practice corporate initiatives such as Supply Chain Management, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. Ranging from hot and humid in the summer, to cold and humid in the winter, Wuxi and Suzhou enjoy four distinct seasons. Because of proximity to the East China Sea, the region has a monsoon season which begins in late summer and lasts until early autumn. Average annual rainfall is 39 inches and average annual temperature is 64 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ang Mo Kio
Seagate started Disc Drive Operations in Singapore in 1982, representing the first volume manufacturing site outside of the United States. In 1997, Seagate Drive Operations was relocated to its current facilities in Ang Mo Kio until 2011. The factory spans a total gross floor area of over 1M sq ft. and was designed to accommodate production of today's technology-intensive hard disc drive products, and facilitate the rapid transition to tomorrow's technology advancements. Ang Mo Kio now remains as Seagate’s International Headquarters (IHQ), and Singapore will remain a key part of Seagate’s global strategy.

Science Park
The Science Park Design Center was established in April 1984 to provide automation support for drive manufacturing, and it is Seagate's only disc-drive design center outside the United States. The team has grown to a few hundred engineers and scientists. It has expanded progressively to high value added capabilities including the design and development of world-class hard disc drives for worldwide markets. It houses state-of-the-art facilities that include a class 100 clean room, a fully equipped CAD room, an anechoic chamber, GTEM Cell, Wyko Tester, Particle Injection Tester, Altitude Chamber, Linear and Rotary Vibrator, Shock Tower, Laser Doppler Vibrometer, High Speed Camera, EMI shield room, ESD test station, Digital Oscilloscope, Arbitrary Waveform Generator, High power microscope, etc. The team has generated more than a thousand new inventions, and a few hundred patents, and trade secrets. Life Here
Suwon is the provincial capital of Gyeonggi-do, South Korea and has over a million people. It lies approximately 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of Seoul and is traditionally known as "The City of Filial Piety." Suwon has grown from a small settlement in tribal times to a major industrial and cultural city, and is the only remaining completely walled city in South Korea.

Suwon is served by two motorways, the national railway network and the Seoul Metropolitan Subway, making it easy to transport commuters, tourists and goods. There are also several bus lines that run across the city—the green bus, the red bus, the local or express bus, and the Maeul Bus, making them the most cost-efficient public transportation.

Weather
South Korea has four distinct seasons; spring, summer, autumn and winter. Summer months are humid and subtropical and are affected by the East Asian monsoon which begins around the end of June through the end of July. The winter months can be extremely cold. The best time to visit South Korea is during the fall time when the weather is mild and dry.

Suwon is a major educational centre, being home to 14 university campuses and 2 colleges. There are also 33 high schools, 37 middle schools, 81 primary schools and 107 kindergartens in Suwon, making it a highly attractive city for people from across the country as well as foreigners.

Hwaseong Fortress is Suwon's most notable attraction and it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival is held right before celebrating the annual Suwon Citizen's Day on October 10 and is held in Hwaseong. Haenggung Palace, within Hwaseong, is another main attraction for tourists as is the Korean Folk Village, and the Everland theme park is nearby in Yongin.

Suwon is sports town and is known for its football team, Suwon Samsung Bluewings Football Club. There are several sports facilities, including an archery field, badminton courts, ten-pin bowling lanes, indoor swimming pools, tennis courts, soft tennis courts and football pitches.

Seagate Technology (Hong Kong) Ltd. Beijing Representative Office was established on 25 August 1999 to support Seagate’s business development in China. It comprises the OEM/Channel sales, Corporate Communications, FAE, HR and marketing departments. The Seagate Beijing Office is dedicated to managing the company's market development, customer communications and customer services in North China.

Lying on a broad plain in northeastern China, Beijing is the capital of China. Being one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, Beijing is also the political, educational and cultural center of China.

Designed by the world-class architect SOM (Skidmore, Owings & Merrill), Raycom InfoTech Park is a multifunctional facility comprising five office buildings, two service apartment buildings, a club, as well as conferencing and exhibition facilities.

Weather
Beijing is situated at the northern tip of the roughly triangular North China Plain, which opens to the south and east of the city. Builders of the Great Wall of China, which stretches across the northern part of Beijing Municipality, made use of this rugged topography to defend against nomadic incursions from the steppes. Major rivers flowing through the municipality include the Yongding River and the Chaobai River, part of the Hai River system, and flow in a southerly direction.

The city experiences hot and humid summers due to the East Asian monsoon. It also experiences generally cold, windy, dry winters. Average daytime high temperatures in January are at around 1 °C (33°F), while average temperatures in July are around 30°C (87 °F). The highest temperature ever recorded was 42 °C and the lowest recorded was -27 °C.

Education
Beijing is home to a great number of colleges and universities, including several well-regarded universities of international stature, such as Peking University and Tsinghua University. As Beijing is the political and cultural capital of China, a larger proportion of tertiary-level institutions are concentrated here than in any other city in China, reaching at least 59 in number. Many international students from Japan, Korea, North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and elsewhere in the world come to Beijing to study every year.

In additional, Beijing’s other modern attractions include the Sunlitun Village and the Houhai area. The famous National Centre for the Performing Arts is an opera house in Beijing and is located immediately to the west of Tiananmen Square. It seats 5,452 people in three halls and is almost 12,000 m² in size. It was designed by French architect Paul Andreu. Construction started in December 2001 and the inaugural concert was held in December 2007
