Using FreeAgent Theater+™ Media Sync
Use the FreeAgent Theater+™ application to synchronize media files between your computer and a FreeAgent Go™ drive, or any external USB storage device formatted for the following file systems:
• HFS/HFS+
• NTFS
• FAT32
Note: If you use an NTFS drive as the external drive for the FreeAgent Theater application, the drive must formated so you can copy files to the drive using the Media Sync feature on your Mac. Use the Mac Disk Utility application to reformat an NTFS drive. You can use FreeAgent Theater without installing the FreeAgent Theater software, but you can’t synchronize your media files without it.
You can manually select the folders to synchronize, or you can set up automatic synchronization, whereby the media folders on your computer are synchronized while the external drive is connected to your computer.
For example, suppose you sync a pictures folder from your computer to your external drive for viewing on your TV. Then you add new images to the pictures folder on your computer. The next time you connect your external drive to your computer, the new images are automatically synchronized.
Note: You can sync the same folder on your computer with multiple external drives, one at a time. You can also use one external drive to sync folders on multiple computers.
