Selected GoFlex hard drives available exclusively from Apple stores
LONDON, England – Seagate (NASDAQ:STX) has announced that its GoFlex® for Mac® external hard drives and lightning-fast GoFlex Thunderbolt™ adaptors are now selling for the first time in Apple retail stores in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands, and from Apple online stores across Europe (see complete list at end of press release).
Four Seagate GoFlex external hard drives are only available from Apple stores in Europe:
• GoFlex Pro for Mac: The 500GB version of this high-speed ultra-portable drive comes with FireWire® 800 and USB 2.0 connectivity
• GoFlex Special Edition for Mac: A huge one terabyte in the palm of your hand, this ultra-portable drive has FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 connectivity, and a durable soft-touch silver finish
• GoFlex Slim for Mac: The world’s slimmest portable external hard drive built with Mac computers in mind, this 500GB performance drive features a sleek, anodised design and USB 2.0 connectivity
• GoFlex Desk for Mac: In a choice of two or three terabyte options, with FireWire 800 and USB 2.0, these drives deliver high capacity storage for the Mac user
All these drives are compatible with Apple Time Machine® and can also be used interchangeably with PCs without reformatting.
Also available now in Europe is the GoFlex Thunderbolt Adaptor, which works with any portable Seagate GoFlex drive and provides one of the few Thunderbolt-connected portable hard drive solutions on the market today, and the GoFlex Desk Thunderbolt Adaptor, which works with any GoFlex Desk drive.
