How to use the Seagate Toolkit software

The following figure is the main menu of the Seagate Toolkit software. Move your cursor among the icons of this menu to learn about the different features of Toolkit. (About Toolkit & how to install it)

System task bar icons

After installing the Seagate Toolkit, you will have an additional icon in your system task bar. The system task bar is the area at the lower right portion of your screen. This area typically includes your clock and several icons, including the Safe Removal icon. This system tray icon will display information about the state of the selected Pocket Hard Drive as shown below.

	The Pocket Hard Drive's system tray icon and the light in the center of the drive illustration on the Seagate Toolkit software's main menu screen will turn blue to when it is busy reading or writing data. Do not disconnect the drive when these indicators are flashing on and off.
