PC Support Tool .ZIP Download

The Mirra GetMirraInfo tool is distributed in two forms: GetMirraInfo.zip, a compressed file that must be expanded using an unzip utility. GetMirraInfo.exe, a self-extracting executable file. The contents of these files are identical.

Release Notes

This tool contains a set of scripts and simple programs for collecting diagnostic information from your PC. Running the tool will create a log file, which you can email to Mirra Support for analysis to assist the Mirra Technical Support department in diagnosing your problem.

  • Step 1

Download the file and save it to your desktop.

  • Step 2

Use your system's unzip tool to extract the contents of the file to your Desktop.

  • Step 3

Open the GetMirraInfo folder. It will contain four batch files and a sub-folder named Tools. (Note that you do not need to open the Tools folder.)

The batch files are specific to your Operating System:

    • Win2000.bat for Windows 2000 Server and Professional systems
    • Windows 2003.bat for Windows 2003 server systems
    • XP Home.bat for Windows XP Home systems
    • XP Pro.bat for Windows XP Professional systems
    • Windows Vista.bat for Windows Vista systems

Note that the batch files may appear without the .bat extension, depending upon how your OS preferences have been set.

  • Step 4

Launch the appropriate version of the GetMirraInfo tool by double-clicking the batch file that corresponds to your version of Windows.

The tool will temporarily open a DOS Command (black) window in which several commands will scroll by as data collection takes place. Don't worry about trying to read these messages. This process can take from a few seconds to a few minutes.

When the data collection process is complete, the window will close and a log file named MirraReport.htm containing the accumulated data will be written to your Desktop.

    Step 5

If you have a case open, you've already received an email from the Mirra Support team referring to your case. Reply to the most recent email and attach the MirraReport log file.

If you don't already have a case open, submit an online case. You will receive a Case Acknowledgement email. Reply to this email and attach the MirraReport log file.

In either case your reply will be routed directly to the engineer assigned to work on your case.
