University Relations

Seagate's University Relations program is a key component of our overall recruiting strategy. We believe having access to today’s brightest and best college graduates is critical to our future growth. We diligently work to find colleges and universities that model Seagate’s values and provide in-and-out-of-classroom learning opportunities, so that we can partner with them to build a bridge from the campus to the corporate environment.

Our philosophy is to be where students are. We support their development and assist them, as they become leaders. We do this with three key elements:

1. Academic resources. We believe it is important students receive proper in-class and out-of-class experiences that will contribute to their post-college success. Seagate proactively works with colleges and universities to ensure the curriculum and internships reflect the requirements the students will need to be successful in their post-college work experience.

2. Student development. Once a student has the academic support, the next critical component is to ensure students are prepared to represent themselves well to potential employers. Seagate works closely with college and university career centers to provide consulting on resume writing/building, conducting mock interviews and answering a variety of questions on what employers like Seagate are looking for in potential employees.

3. Career opportunities. Ultimately, our desire is to bring students into Seagate, show them the career opportunities and offer them full-time employment Seagate is a progressive company, providing continued education, career advancement, and explores work in diverse and creative ways.

Seagate University
