Did you know the software is already contained on the drive?
FreeAgent Pro and Go drives come with the software pre-loaded on the drive, from the factory.

Windows Users:
To launch the software installation process, connect and power on the drive and double-click on the:

• Install FreeAgent Tools.exe file in the main folder on the FreeAgent Pro drive (for FreeAgent Pro), or
• Autorun.exe file in the main folder on the FreeAgent Go drive (for FreeAgent Go).

Mac Users (for FreeAgent Pro only; the FA Go is not supported in MacOS):
To launch the software installation process, connect and power on the drive, double-click the FreeAgent Drive icon on your desktop. It may take a minute for this icon to appear.
Once that window opens, double-click the FreeAgentPro.dmg file to start the installation process.

If you have erased the software and need to obtain replacement software for your hard drive, contact Seagate Technical Support by email.
