Funding Criteria and Application Procedure
With more than a quarter century of industry expertise, Seagate continues to be the driver of innovative solutions for the storage industry. And the same spirit of excellence and teamwork that drives our company forward also drives our efforts to help build strong, self-sufficient communities.
Through our strategic investments in solution-oriented programs, we partner with public, educational, and non-profit organizations to help address the many challenging issues affecting the towns, cities, and nations where our employees live and work.
Where Our Resources Are Focused
- Approximately two-thirds of Seagate’s corporate giving supports K-12 science, math and technology education. We look for innovative programs that enhance creativity, encourage hands-on learning and reach all populations, specifically low-income and minority communities where fewer opportunities exist.
- We strive to make resources available to those in extreme need of shelter, food, health care and support services and look for opportunities that enable people to become self-sufficient.
- Arts and culture, civic, environmental, and diversity-focused programs are valuable to building a well-balanced, healthy community. We review programs with these special focuses on a regional basis based upon each community’s specific needs.
- Volunteerism is a priority within Seagate’s philanthropic program and we look for partnerships that include opportunities for our employees.

Note: Due to the high visibility of the Company and the large number of non-profit and public organizations in all regions, Seagate receives many more requests than available resources can satisfy. Although requests for contributions may appear to meet Company guidelines, a grant should not be assumed. Organizations that receive funding are those whose programs or projects most closely align with our giving priorities, and demonstrate measurable results.
