Occupational Health Resources
A prompt response is critical when dealing with all onsite health incidents. Seagate has invested in an infrastructure that includes a network of resources to respond appropriately to incidents.
We leverage the strengths and compensate for the gaps in local infrastructures. For example, in China, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia, Seagate-staffed onsite medical clinics can respond immediately to incidents. Our local and global teams include occupational health/medical professionals as well as trained emergency medical responders as part of our emergency response teams at all sites. Our teams not only respond to work-related incidents, but are prepared to assist local authorities with natural disasters like fires, floods, earthquakes, or tornados.
Seagate’s Occupational Health program supports the Company’s business agenda through targeted strategies directed toward improvement of employee health and productivity:
- Reduce incident frequency and severity:
- Early recognition and intervention of occupational hazards;
- Job placement/fitness for work;
- Effective/efficient medical emergency response.
- Minimize productivity loss and costs through active case management of occupational injury and illness.
- Establish health and wellness priorities that target improvement of identified health conditions.
- Comply with Company and regulatory requirements.
