As Seagate’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer, B.S. Teh leads the company’s global go-to-market strategy. In this role, he oversees sales and marketing for Seagate’s entire portfolio, positioning the company as a global leader in scalable, mass-capacity storage products and solutions.
B.S. applies an AI-forward mindset to ensure that Seagate provides all customers — including hyperscale providers, enterprises and consumers — the right data storage technologies to unlock the value of their data in the era of AI.
With more than three decades at Seagate, he has built trusted relationships with customers across the globe, giving him an outside-in perspective on evolving data storage demands. These insights keep him closely attuned to emerging market opportunities in new geographies and trends reshaping the industry — from the exponential growth of data to the strategic shift in how enterprises store, access and value it.
B.S. has a proven track record of driving commercial growth and market expansion. Under his leadership, Seagate has deepened its presence in key regions, expanded into new markets and introduced breakthrough platforms like Mozaic™, the world’s first hard drives powered by Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR). B.S. is leading Seagate’s bold roadmap and commitment to deliver 100-terabyte hard drives by 2030 — a critical enabler for AI-scale infrastructure.
Since joining Seagate in 1992, he has held leadership positions across sales, marketing, business operations, customer service and technical support.
B.S. holds an MBA from the University of South Australia and an electrical engineering degree from the National University of Singapore.
