How do I configure Web and File Services using Seagate's BlackArmor Manager?

Seagate BlackArmor Manager – Enable Web and File Services Settings

Use this page to set up and manage Web and File services so that computers on your local network can access the BlackArmor server without requiring special software.
Note: It is assumed that you are currently logged in as a User with admin privileges.

To set up UPnP for Web access and FTP:

  1. In the menu bar, select Network, and then click Services.
  2. Under UPnP for Web Access & FTP, click the Service Enable option. Enable this option if your router supports UPnP. Otherwise, manually configure your router to allow port forwarding. See your router documentation for details.

To set up Web access using HTTP or HTTPS:

  1. In the menu bar, select Network, and then click Services.
  2. To connect using HTTP protocol, select the HTTP Port Default option (recommended), or select the option beside the blank box and enter the port number you want to use.
  3. To connect using HTTPS protocol, select the HTTPS Port Default option (recommended), or select the option beside the blank box and enter the port number you want to use.
  4. Click Submit. The settings are saved.

To set up FTP services:

  1. In the menu bar, select Network, and then click Services.
  2. Under FTP Service, click the FTP Service Enable option.
  3. To enable public file sharing, select Enable Anonymous.
  4. Select the Port Default option (recommended), or select the option beside the blank box and enter the port number you want to use.
  5. Click Submit. The settings are saved.

To set up NFS services:

  1. In the menu bar, select Network, and then click Services.
  2. Beside NFS Service, click the Enable option.
  3. Enter an IP address allowed to access the server, or select the asterisk (*) to allow all access, and then click Add.
  4. Click Submit. The settings are saved.
