Ken Claffey
Senior Vice President, Systems
Ken is Senior Vice President of the Systems business within Seagate. In this role, Ken is responsible for driving the storage & software strategy and product development across the enterprise market.
The Systems team has a broad product portfolio that covers all flash and hybrid storage arrays, software defined storage application platforms, storage software portfolio and Seagate's open source community platform. The portfolio spans on-prem and hybrid cloud environments for Edge and Core Data Centers.
Ken is a proven product leader with a significant range of data center experience. He joined Seagate through the acquisition of Xyratex in 2014. At Xyratex, he was part of the executive leadership team that helped make it one of the leading OEM Enterprise Systems suppliers. At Seagate, Ken created and led the HPC Storage Solutions business that powered 40% of the top ten supercomputers in the world. In late 2017, he took over the Systems business and is now leading it to new successes each year.
Prior to Xyratex, he held management positions at Adaptec, and Eurologic Systems where he led the development of innovative new storage products and grew new businesses. Ken holds a Masters in Business from the University College, Dublin. He is a LiverpoolFC fan and his spare time is spent enjoying the outdoors with his wife and two little girls.
