Seagate's DB35 Series™ 7200.3 Hard Drive Boosts Performance and Reliability of Celrun IPTV Set-Top Box

SEOUL, Korea - Seagate Technology (NYSE: STX), the world’s number one hard disk drive manufacturer, announced today that the company’s industry-leading DB35 Series™ 7200.3 hard drives have been incorporated into Celrun’s TD910H IPTV set-top boxes for enhanced delivery, performance and reliability of digital content.

The DB35 Series 7200.3 hard drive is part of Seagate’s DB35 Series drives built on perpendicular recording technology to offer the industry’s most comprehensive feature set for high-definition video content services. DB35 Series 7200.3 hard drives feature DynaPlay™ Technology to address many challenges specific to consumer electronics applications such as power consumption, video streaming performance, acoustics and reliability.

HanaTV reported 700,000 subscribers at the end of Q3 2007, indicated a daily subscriber growth rate of 3,000 and projected it will recruit up to 1,000,000 users by Q1 20081.

Celrun’s new TD910H IPTV set-top box for HanaTV is designed and developed in accordance with the stringent requirements of the television station, delivering consumers up to 80GB of storage capacity, quiet operation, enhanced media recording streaming capabilities and robust performance at temperatures beyond the normal range.
