Seagate Wins 2011 CRN Channel Champions Award For Hard Drive Technical And Support Satisfaction And Financial

Seagate (NASDAQ:STX) has won the 2011 CRN Channel Champions award for SATA Hard Drives and swept the Channel Champions categories – Technical Satisfaction, Support Satisfaction and Financial. The CRN award is based on a survey that measures overall solution provider perceptions of vendor products and services. The survey is the largest and broadest-based technology integrator market study in the industry.

Seagate’s high marks in technical satisfaction came in areas including price for performance, product quality and reliability, and serviceability. The support satisfaction categories include pre- and post-sales support; quality of technical, marketing and sales training; availability of demonstration units; and quality and availability of vendor technical training. The financial categories includecompetitive pricing, product margins, SPIFs and rebates, services attached and increase in sales.

The CRN Channel Champions study measures overall solution provider perceptions of vendor products and services . Solution providers were asked to evaluate the importance of partner technology, support and financial criteria in the channel. They were then asked to rate vendor performance in these areas, based on their perceived importance. CRN Channel Champions awards are based on these survey results. Awards are distributed in 25 technology fields and in four categories – technical satisfaction, support satisfaction, financial factors and overall champion.
