Seagate's 8GB ST1 Series Hard Drive Powers Portable Multi Media Player from HyunWon

SEOUL, Korea - Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX), the world's largest supplier of hard drives for consumer electronics, announced today that HyunWon Inc., which designs and produces digital audio players, DataPlay and IPS equipment, has chosen Seagate's 8GB 1-inch Hard Drive for its new portable multi-media player, the mobiBLU DHH-200. Seagate's 8GB ST1 Series is the highest capacity 1-inch hard drive on the market, enabling consumer to enjoy and store the industry's largest libraries of music, photos, video clips, text and even radio programs.

Seagate's ST1 Series drives let consumers quickly download tons of high-fidelity music and images to this HDD-based portable multi-media player. The ST1 Series disc drive includes RunOn Technology and G-Force Protection, which ensure reliability and robustness during active use. Seagate's unique rugged design has changed the playing field for 1-inch hard drives, helping music players better withstand the rigors that handheld devices are subject to.

Seagate is currently shipping ST1 Series drives to more than 30 OEM customers around the world. Seagate's ST1 Series hard drive family is also available in capacities of 6GB, 5GB, 4GB, 3GB and 2.5GB and it is used in leading handheld music players and by more device makers than any other 1-inch hard drive.
