Seagate to Provide University Scholarships to Employees

Seagate Technology (Thailand) Limited today announced an important new program that further demonstrates the company's commitment to its employees' professional development - The Seagate Employees University Scholarship Project provides financial support for employees who wish to pursue graduate-level studies at several of Thailand's major universities.

The Seagate Employees University Scholarship Project, which will be open to all employees who meet service and performance requirements, will provide scholarships to AIT, ABAC, Chiang Mai University Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, KMIT (Thonburi, Ladkrabang and North Bangkok Campuses), Khon Kaen University, Mahidol University, Prince Songkhlanakarin University, Suranaree University of Technology and Thammasat University during Seagate's 2006 fiscal year (July 2005 to June 2006).

This innovative program reflects Seagate's ongoing support of its employees' professional growth and development, and builds on a variety of other Seagate employee development programs including online and in-person training courses. Every professional employee at Seagate works with their manager to develop a formal personal development plan that is used to drive personal and professional success.

Seagate will reimburse the tuition fees and other educational expenditures according to the company policy and budget for those who would like to further their studies from bachelor's to doctorate degrees levels. Seagate employees who have worked with the company for at least two years and possess sound performance records are eligible to apply for this scholarship project.
