Seagate Enhances Customer Service Support in Taiwan

Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX), the world's leading hard disc drive supplier, is adding a Collection point for replacement drives. The move strengthens Seagate's after-sales service support to complement its best-in class products as it enhances the quality of the Seagate experience.

This initiative managed through its authorized resellers nationwide and five-year warranty support for every Seagate internal PC, notebook and enterprise hard drive shipped through its distribution and retail channels throughout the world, make Seagate the most comprehensive service support and offerings provider today.

"Seagate continues to show its commitment to not only delivering best-in-class products but also providing the support infrastructure our partners and customers require," said Daven Chiang, Seagate director of Sales and Marketing and general manager for Taiwan. "The launch of our Collection point in addition to our toll free telephone customer support underscore our aim of offering better access to our large customer base, further strengthening our after-sales support system and increasing our service level in Taiwan."

The toll free telephone customer support line is available for end user customers in Taiwan. Supporting Chinese language, the toll free number is: 00.800.0830.1730. This toll free number accesses Seagate's contact center partner located in Beijing, China, which can also be reached via email at: Seagate_support@teleservices.com.cn. Support services will be available during business hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm (Taiwan time) Monday through Friday, excluding Chinese public holidays.

The customer support line provides technical help as well as instant guidance on matters pertaining to hard drives including product features and benefits, specific configurations, serial connectivity, etc. In addition, diagnostic services for trouble-shooting and software / hardware compatibility will also be available.

Seagate channel partners and distributors across the country can utilize the new support line to gain assistance in addressing their storage customers' needs relative to Seagate disc drive products. Seagate customers in Taiwan can also access local language information on the Company's products by logging on to http://www.seagate.com/Taiwan.

Additionally, Seagate's new warranty collection point is located in Lu Ju Hsiang Taoyuan. With the establishment of the collection point, Seagate distributors can now reduce the turnaround time and cost associated with the warranty process.
