Seagate India to Create Regional Customer Councils

NEW DELHI, India - Seagate Technology (NYSE: STX), the world's leading supplier of hard disc drives, today announced the formation of Seagate Regional Customer Councils, comprised of channel partners invited from all regions of India. This strategic initiative is an important commitment by Seagate to gain direct customer analysis and input as to the effectiveness of its programs in this fast-growing market.

The Regional Customer Councils will include a cross section of enterprise partners, system integrators, retail partners and sub-distributors.

Seagate recently started a series of forums titled "Momentus - The HeartBeat of Your World in Portability and Mobility" - to educate partners and customers about perpendicular recording, Full Disc Encryption (FDE) and other storage technologies designed to increase capacity and provide stronger data security in Seagate Momentus 2.5-inch notebook drives. Seagate also recently launched its Seagate Partner Program in Singapore, Australia, China, and India with a promotion and advertising campaign. Seagate has strengthened and enhanced the Seagate Partner Program to better support resellers' unique business requirements.

Seagate offers Indian customers best-in-class customer support through its 43-city SeaCare program. SeaCare centers are manned by Seagate trained staff and offer support across the country to provide an overall enhanced customer experience. Seagate has also initiated an SMS Customer Care and launched two mobile service vans, which provide customer support services at the main technology markets in New Delhi and Mumbai. Seagate is also the first and only hard drive company to provide a national toll- free Call Center which functions like a window to Seagate for any business or technical query on the company's products and services.
