The "Leading the Trend, Innovating Storage Technology" seminar tour extends to cities like Changchun, Nanjing, Guangzhou and Chongqing, allowing Seagate to reach out to over 1800 channel representatives. In addition to provide an avenue for Seagate to build better rapport and recognize the efforts of its partners, the seminars will enable Seagate to share with its resellers and distributors the latest initiatives and the full spectrum of the company's storage products.
"Seagate is committed to nurturing our partners and through this seminar, we hope to equip them to deliver greater value-added service down the chain," said Andrew Yang, Seagate Sales and Marketing country manager for China. "Our channel customers play a critical role in our efforts and this is an excellent platform for us to provide them with greater insight into the industry's broadest product portfolio. The knowledge that they gain from this seminar will empower them to help their customers make more educated decisions."
The Seagate Certified Training program will run concurrently in six cities such as Tianjin, Nanchang, and Hong Kong. Since it was first launched in 2002, more than 600 sales and service engineers of Seagate's channel customers have been trained and certified. The two-day technical program provides up to 300 field analysis engineers and technical specialists with hands-on training in handling disc drives, PC integration, an overview of interfaces and the use of Seagate's SeaTools software to conduct diagnostics on disc drives. This knowledge empowers them to provide timely and value-added advise to their customers.
