PC Magazine evaluated more than 1,300 products ranging from PCs, PDAs, and printers to office software, 3D games, and MP3 players in order to choose those worthy of the "The Best of the Year" title.
"In choosing this year's best, we also had a chance to look back at our picks from last year and reflect upon the rapid growth and change in the technology landscape," said Cade Metz, senior writer, PC Magazine. "Mobile devices, home networking products, and digital cameras are just a few areas that have taken developmental leaps as user adoption increases exponentially."
PC Magazine praised the Seagate Mirra Personal Server as the best home back-up solution and stated that it "restores files from multiple PCs in your home network effortlessly." PC Magazine also praises the products ease-of-use, "This server is a very good platform for home network backup, and its simplicity can't be beat."
Additionally, in the same issue of PC Magazine, the Seagate 400GB PushButton Backup Hard Drive was given an Editors' Choice Award with a 4.5 star rating.
