Seagate Receives Award In Drug Free Workplace Project

BANGKOK, Thailand - Seagate Technology's Teparuk plant has been honored by the Thai Labor Protection and Social Welfare Department as an outstanding manufacturing facility as part of the Drug Free Workplace Project. Seagate worked with the department to implement this important program, which seeks to prevent the use of drugs in the workplace and educates employees on the impact of drug abuse on their lives and families.

Seagate's participation included posting signs and announcements on the topic, the appointment of a workplace committee, providing beneficial information to employees, launching a campaign against drug use, providing medical check-ups for employees, keeping adequate records for use by the Drug Free Workplace Committee, and ultimately demonstrating a drug-free work environment.
