Seagate Speaks at Mobilephone Conference in Korea on June 30, 2006

SEOUL, Korea - Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX), the worldwide leader in consumer electronics hard drives, announced today that Rob Pait, director of Global Consumer Electronics Marketing, will be speaking at the Mobilephone Conference 2006 in Seoul, Korea on June 30, 2006.

Consumers are driving a revolution in the way they access, store and enjoy digital content, creating an On-Demand World where people choose to experience digital content when they want, where they want and on the device they want. The growth of services that allow audio and video to be stored on mobile devices, and the devices on which this content will be stored, make hard drives imperative in this On-Demand World.

Pait will discuss the technologies that are central to this new digital lifestyle and demonstrate how leading-edge storage solutions will enable new applications and business models. Pait will also share how portable, on-demand video and services will drive the next wave of revenue opportunities for the mobilephone and entertainment communities and how tiny, high capacity hard drives will be critical for this new wave of growth.

Pait joins other distinguished speakers at the Mobilephone Conference 2006 from prominent IT companies, with his session titled "Mobile Phones and the On-Demand World: Enabling a New Customer Experience" from 2:20 pm to 3:00 pm in the Grand Ballroom at COEX on June 30, 2006.
