Seagate Wins Annual VARBusiness Magazine ARC Award

Seagate Technology (NYSE: STX), the world's number one hard drive company, has been recognized by solution-provider partners and readers of CMP Technology's VARBusiness for outstanding satisfaction levels and has garnered an Annual Report Card (ARC) award. The company received an ARC award for Loyalty in the Enterprise Disk Drives category from the biweekly magazine, which provides strategic insight to technology integrators, at an awards ceremony held on August 15, at the XChange '06 Conference in St. Louis.

Now in its twenty-first year, the VARBusiness ARC Awards recognize outstanding partner programs in nineteen product and service categories including desktop computers, servers, storage management, Internet application server software and networking hardware. Winners were selected based on the survey results of more than 5,000 systems integrators, IT consulting organizations, value-added resellers (VARs), solution providers and software developers.

"The VARBusiness Annual Report Card is the industry defining research on vendor/partner relationships," said Lawrence M. Walsh, the magazine's editor. "It is a significant benchmark because the winners are selected by their own solution provider partners."

"Seagate is honored to be recognized by the channel for the ARC award," said Jeff Loebbaka, Seagate senior vice president of Global Channel Sales and Marketing. "The award is a testimony of Seagate's customer focus and commitment to meeting their needs through the award-winning Seagate Partner Program and other Seagate programs."

In addition to its innovation and enterprise product breadth, Seagate's commitment to partnering with solution providers is reflected by its Seagate Partner Program. Partner Program members enjoy online RMA support and a dedicated priority technical support line that connects directly to senior-level technicians. Customized email information delivery provides enhanced product information, product news and reviews, promotions, selling strategies, customer success stories, technical white papers and other sales, marketing and customer service tools. Registration and a listing of benefits are available at reseller.seagate.com.

Research was conducted by Bernett Research Services, a Boston-based data collection company, and Answers Research, the Solana Beach, Calif.-based market research and consulting firm.
