Seagate Appoints Jeff Loebbaka as Head of EMEA Sales and Marketing Operations

PARIS, France - Seagate Technology (NYSE: STX) has appointed Jeff Loebbaka to the position of senior vice president and managing director, Sales and Marketing Operations, for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Based in Paris, Loebbaka will oversee all Seagate's sales, marketing, customer service, field application engineering and related activities in the region. He was previously the company's senior vice president, Global Channel Sales and Corporate Marketing, based in Scotts Valley, California. Loebbaka will report to Todd Abbott, Seagate's executive vice president of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service.

"Jeff takes up his new position at an exciting time in the hard disc drive business in EMEA, a region that accounts for nearly 30% of Seagate's global sales," said Abbott. "As well as a number of well established and mature markets, the region also comprises several fast-growing markets in Eastern Europe, Turkey and the Middle East. Prior to joining Seagate in 2003, Loebbaka was vice president and general manager of Desktop Solutions at Adaptec, a company he joined in 1999 as vice president of Worldwide Channel and Corporate Marketing. He was previously vice president of global marketing for the Life Fitness division of Brunswick and has held senior marketing management positions at Zenith Data Systems and Apple Computer. Loebbaka holds a MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BSc in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois.
