Industry Veteran John D. Grieci joins Seagate as Senior Vice President of Customer Advocacy

Seagate (NASDAQ: STX) today announced that John D. Grieci has joined the Company as Senior Vice President, Customer Advocacy. Mr Grieci, who most recently lead the technical Global Supply Chain Management organisation at EMC, will take on this new role to help ensure that best-in-class customer experiences are delivered by every organisation throughout the Company.

With the active engagement of the Seagate Executive Management team, Mr Grieci will lead his Customer Advocacy team in driving measurable results through sustainable process improvements. His background includes more than two decades at EMC, with experience that spanned rotating magnetic and solid state storage, at both the component and system levels. He also has critical experience with end-user field applications as they relate to product performance and reliability.

Mr Grieci joined Seagate on 22 February and reports directly to Seagate Chairman and CEO, Steve Luczo.

“With the addition of John leading Seagate’s new customer advocacy organisation, he and his team will focus on enhancing our overall customer experiences by driving process improvements to strengthen our sourcing, qualification, production and delivery execution,” said Mr Luczo. “John’s immense expertise in qualifications, field management, product planning and customer escalation processes will be a tremendous asset to Seagate.”
