Please follow this procedure to safely remove a Seagate hard drive from a Panasonic camcorder:

From the Playback Mode screen, select the USB hard drive button (use the arrow and ENTER buttons for non-touch screen models).

Select YES to confirm you would like to safely eject your drive from the camcorder (use the arrow and ENTER buttons for non-touch screen models).

When you see the message displayed below, you may disconnect the Seagate external drive from your camcorder.
Alternatively, you may power down the camcorder and then disconnect the external drive.
