What characters can I use/not use when creating a share or a user on my BlackArmor NAS?

A BlackArmor NAS Server’s user name and/or share name can have a maximum of 32 characters and only alphanumeric characters, hyphens, periods and underscores are allowed. Localized Characters such as ä, ü, ē, ń, etc. are currently unsupported as well. The user name must begin with an alphanumeric character.

The following are examples of good and bad user/share names:

j@ck bad
jon  good
jane_doe good
jane.doe good
jon-hancock good
john.hancock bad
WORK bad
D@T@ bad
