Seagate kicked off CES 2013 with the launch of two great new products – Seagate® Wireless Plus, the second generation of Seagate’s popular Satellite product, and Seagate® Central, a data storage solution that connects all your customers’ networked devices in their homes. Both products are unique storage solutions you can recommend to your customers, helping them easily and stylishly solve common storage problems.
Seagate Wireless Plus provides consumers with 1TB of storage space for music, media, and other content. Users can take Wireless Plus with them and access their content from any mobile device, without the need for an internet connection, wires, or a mobile signal. And Wireless Plus lets multiple people stream content simultaneously. So the whole family can be travelling together and still watch their favorite movies, listen to music, and access their documents.
Seagate Central adds central storage capacity to the home network. Load it up with movies, music, and other media, then access from any networked device, including internet–ready devices like TVs, game consoles, Blu–ray players, and streaming media players. With capacity of up to 4TB, Central can hold all those HD movies, songs, documents, photos, and more. And with Seagate’s web UI, and media app for smartphones and tablets, users can access their media from any mobile device with Wi-Fi or 3G/4G and keep everything organized.
Central and Wireless Plus are two examples of Seagate’s innovation in storage for the growing number of non–traditional devices. Now more than ever, mobile device users want access to streaming media and other content while on-the-go and Seagate is creating great new products to address that need.
Both of these great new products, along with Seagate’s popular Backup Plus, won CES Innovations 2013 awards. Backup Plus and Central were named Design and Engineering Awards Honorees and Wireless Plus won Best of Innovations, all in the Computer Accessory category.
The awards are judged by an independent panel of industrial designers, engineers and members of the media, and honor cutting-edge consumer electronics products in 29 categories. Judges rate products based on criteria including: engineering qualities, aesthetic and design qualities, product function and user value, and unique and novel features that consumers would find attractive.
What does this mean for you? To many consumers, product awards serve as decision criteria, validating the product and making it look like a safe, solid choice. And carrying award–winning products provides “benefit by association”, giving you cachet with customers as a business that carries highly rated, on-trend items.
We’re really proud to win these awards and honors. This is wonderful validation of the care and creativity that we put into creating all of our products – unique, high–value products that will please your customers and boost your revenue.
