What numbers do I enter into the Model or Part Number field to return my Samsung product?

Samsung Model Number/Part Number example:
Note:  Only enter digits and letters that come before the "/" symbol.

If the label displays HM123AB/CFP for the HDD P/N, enter "HM123AB".

If the label displays HX-AB123CD/ZZ for the HDD P/N, enter "HX-AB123CD".

 

If I return my Samsung product, will I receive a Seagate or Samsung product replacement?

Seagate will replace the returned Samsung product with a functionally equivalent replacement product. Seagate may also replace your product with a product that was previously used, repaired and tested to meet Seagate specifications.

 

Do I need to return my accessory for my Samsung products?

Please do not return accessories that were included with your Samsung products.

 

Will I have the same warranty period I did with Samsung?

Seagate will honor the original warranty period for Samsung products. Seagate warrants that repaired or replaced products are covered for the greater of either the remainder of the original product warranty or 90 days.

 

Is the data covered under warranty?

Data recovery is not covered under Seagate or Samsung warranty terms and is not part of the repair or exchange process. SAMSUNG and Seagate are not responsible for any data loss and data recovery.

 

Can I purchase accessories for my Samsung products?

Seagate will not be offering Samsung accessories for purchase. If you need a replacement accessory under warranty, please check with our customer service department for a compatible Seagate accessory equivalent.

 

Will I receive a re-certified Samsung or a new build warranty replacement?

Seagate may replace your product with a product that was previously used, repaired and tested to meet Seagate specifications.

 

What is the turn around time for Samsung replacements?

The expected turnaround time for a Samsung product will be the same as Seagate product exchanges. On average, standard shipping is approximately 3-7 days business days once the product is returned successfully. However, Seagate cannot guarantee product availability and products may not be available for immediate delivery.

 

Is it possible to upgrade my Samsung product when returned under warranty?

Seagate has no plans to offer upgrade options for Samsung product returns.

 

My Samsung external product was colored, will I be guaranteed the same color back under warranty?

Seagate will replace your returned Samsung product with a functionally equivalent replacement product. Seagate cannot guarantee the same color for product replacement.
