Overview:
OT_MacIntel_Update.dmg is an installer that when loaded will provide Maxtor OneTouch program functionality on Apple Intel Core Duo (MacIntel) computers and Mac Power PCs running OS X 10.3.9 or newer.

Procedure:
The following provides the steps necessary to perform the OneTouch MacIntel Update on your Macintosh Computer.
- Install the software provided on your original, Maxtor OneTouch CD.
- Download the OTMacIntelUpdate.dmg file from the Maxtor Website to your MacIntel computer.
- Browse to and double-click on the OTMacIntelUpdate.dmg file
- The OT MacIntel Update icon will appear on your Desktop.
Double-click on the icon to continue. - Select the Language (e.g., English)
- Double-click Maxtor OneTouchTM MacIntel Update package file.
Note : Pending on your Finder View preferences, this file may only appear to be called Maxtor OneTouchTM...this is normal. - You will see a window notifying you that "This package contains a program that determines if the software can be installed..." Click Continue.
- From the Welcome Screen, click Continue.
- A window opens providing you with information regarding the Update Installer. Click Continue.
- Review the Software License Agreement and click Continue.
- You will be prompted to confirm this Software License Agreement. Click Agree to proceed.
- Select a Destination (e.g., Macintosh HD) for the installation. Click Continue.
- When you are ready to start the installation, click Upgrade.
- You will be notified that, "Installing this software requires you to restart your computer when the installation is done..." Click Continue Installation
At this point, the MacIntel Update installs to your system. This may take a few minutes to finish. - When the installation is complete, click Restart to finish.
- After your system is restarted, re-connect and power on your OneTouch Drive.
- Press the OneTouch Button to complete the setup of the Software.
Additional Information: Upgrading to EMC Retrospect Express 6.1 is highly recommended (required for systems running Mac OS X 10.3.9), which can be found at EMC Insignia's web site: http://www.emcinsignia.com
