Overview:

OT3_Mini_Vista.zip is a compressed file that when extracted/launched (per the procedures below), will install the Maxtor EasyManage application to your Windows Vista computer.

Instructions:
Note: This software is for use with the OneTouch III Mini Edition drive. You must have Administrator Permissions to install this software on your computer.

Procedure:
The following provides the steps necessary to perform the OneTouch III MaxBackup Vista Update software on your Windows Computer.

1. Download the OT3_Mini_Vista.zip file from the Seagate Website to your Windows Vista computer.

2. Browse to and extract the OT3_Mini_Vista.zip file. This will create an OT3_Mini_Vista folder.

3. Open the OT3_Mini_Vista folder and double-click on Launch.exe

4. Windows Vista will prompt you with a User Account Control window for the DemoShield Multi – CD Launch (Details paths to the Launch.exe file). Click Continue.

5. After a few seconds, the Maxtor Select Language screen will open. Select your language (e.g., English) to proceed.

6. The main menu will appear next. Select Install Software.

7. The InstallShield welcome screen will open. Click Next.

8. The License Agreement screen will appear. After reading the License Agreement, click Yes.

9. The Choose Destination Location screen will appear. In the Destination Folder section of the screen, you can see where the Maxtor software will be installed. If you wish to change this, click Browse and choose a new location. When you are ready, click Next. The Setup Status window will appear as EasyManage installs to your computer.

10. The InstallShield Wizard Complete window will appear. Click Finish. The Maxtor Backup InstallShield Wizard will appear automatically.

11. From the welcome screen, click Next.

12. The License Agreement screen will appear. After reading the agreement, select “I accept...” and click Yes.

13. The Choose Destination Location screen will appear. In the Destination Folder section of the screen, you can see where the Maxtor software will be installed. If you wish to change this, click Browse and choose a new location. When you are ready, click Next. The Setup Status window will appear as Maxtor Backup installs to your computer.

14. The InstallShield Wizard Complete window will appear. Click Finish.
