BlackArmor NAS - How to map a drive letter to a share in Windows

Instructions for setting up a drive letter to access a BlackArmor NAS in Windows.
  1. Click on the Start menu and select Search.  (For Windows XP, click Start -> Run.)
  2. Type in \\ ip address and select Enter. (Click here for help finding the IP address.)
  3. An Explorer view of the NAS will open.  Right-click on the desired share and choose Map network drive...
  4. Use the default letter or choose another, then click Finish.  Choose the option to Reconnect at Logon if needed.
  5. Enter the User Name and Password and click OK.
  6. An Explorer window will open, showing the share with the mapped letter. 

 

How to obtain the IP Address on the BA NAS 400 series
If you have access to the BA NAS 4X0 desktop server, you can view the IP address from the LCD screen.

  1. Press the top left bottom until the curser is pointed to LAN 1/2.
  2. Then press and hold the top left-button until the IP address appears on the display.
