Seagate adheres to the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the International Labor Organization core labour principles, and the RBA Code of Conduct.

Our human rights policy demonstrates our commitment to preserve, protect, and promote the fundamental rights of employees. This document is published in Chinese, English, Malay, and Thai and is accessible to all employees.

Cultivating internal talent is a cornerstone of Seagate’s human capital strategy. Through our comprehensive Talent Development approach, colleagues are empowered to develop their careers via structured mentorship, bespoke e-learning pathways, immersive on-the-job learning, and other internal programmes. These strategic initiatives empower our global workforce to build critical competencies — from leadership and technical skills to health, safety and environment.

These employee-led communities provide a safe space for discussion, connection, networking and professional development. With over 4000+ global members representing 10 ERGs and 32 local chapters as of FY2025, our ERGs play a vital role in building a culture where all employees feel secure, respected and valued. All employees may join any ERG.

The health and safety of Seagate employees, contractors, and visitors is important to us, which is why: 

• Seagate locations and work activities are covered under health and safety management systems.
• All manufacturing sites are ISO 45001 certified. 
• Our global health and safety standards, as well as our accompanying management systems, frequently go beyond country or industry-level guidelines.
  

Our Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S) Policy reinforces Seagate’s commitment to a safe workplace. This policy, along with site initiatives and training programs, supports the active collaboration, consultation, and participation of employees and other stakeholders, such as safety representatives, agency temps and contractors. This empowers every worker to actively identify and eliminate hazards, anonymously report concerns, incidents, and near misses, and to exercise the “stop work authority” without reprisal.

Our global Healthy Journeys wellness program seeks to educate, encourage, and support our employees as they work on achieving their health and wellness goals. Globally, all employees have equal access to the programs offered through Healthy Journeys. To enable easy access to our wellbeing resources and information, we established a global resource centre in FY2024. Additionally, our EAPs offer counselling services and a wealth of information on personal and emotional issues, family, relationships and work. Life coaching services, and holistic coaching services for fitness, nutrition and finance are introduced to employees in phases, beginning Jan 1, 2026, starting from Asia, EMEA, Brazil and Canada.
