If you are using Seagate BlackArmor Backup to try to mount an image of a disk or partition of over 2 Terabytes, Seagate BlackArmor Backup will fail to mount the image with an error message similar to the following one:
Cannot assign a drive letter
Alternatively, the mounting can be successful, but the mounted disk is of unexpectedly small size and cannot be accessed.
This is because, when mounting, Seagate BlackArmor Backup emulates the image as a partition of an MBR (master boot record) disk, even if the image is of a dynamic disk. MBR disks do not support partitions larger than 2 TB.You can restore separate files or folders from the image if this is why you want to mount the image.
