GoFlex Net - Correct Process for Disconnecting Drives

Provides the steps for ejecting an external storage device from a GoFlex Net.

Any external drive connected to the GoFlex Net should be safely removed before you disconnect the drive.  Failure to safely remove the drive before disconnecting could lead to data or partition corruption.

Note: The normal Windows Safe Removal procedure does not apply to devices connected to the GoFlex Net. You must use one of these two methods.

Use one of the options below to safely eject your drive from the GoFlex Net.

Option # 1:

  1. Launch your web browser (i.e., Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.) and enter the following URL into the address field: goflexnet.pogoplug.com
  2. Log-in to your account with your User Name and Password.
  3. This launches the My Library page.
  4. Browse to the USB device you wish to remove in the left pane.
  5. Click on the eject link associated with the drive you wish to remove. This link is located to the right of the drive name.
  6. The Eject Drive applet opens, asking you to confirm the removal.
  7. Click OK. The drive is removed (ejected) and it is now safe to disconnect the drive from the GoFlex Net.

Option # 2:

  1. Launch your web browser (i.e., Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.) and enter the following URL into the address field: goflexnet.pogoplug.com
  2. Log-in to your account with your User Name and Password.
