A: No. The Seagate DVR Expander will not be detected in your computer due to the difference in the file system used by the DVR.


Q: Can I connect the Seagate DVR Expander to a TV to watch my recorded programs?
A: No. Most TVs with a USB port require that the external storage devices connected to them be pre-formatted in a computer. Reformatting the DVR Expander will delete the existing content stored in it.


Q: Can I use my Seagate DVR Expander in multiple DVRs to see its content?
A: No. Every DVR will prompt you to format the Seagate DVR Expander to begin storing your recorded programming within that DVR. That formatting action would erase the existing content stored in it.

Q: Can I store my recorded programs directly to my Seagate DVR Expander?
A: No. The content that is added to the Seagate DVR Expander will be automatically managed by the DVR and you will not be able to direct what programs are stored on the Seagate DVR Expander.
