OFFICIAL RULES
By participating in the Seagate ReStore Program (the “Promotion”), participant (“Participant” or “You”) agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF ONE OF THE COUNTRIES/TERRITORIES LISTED IN APPENDIX A (“ELIGIBLE TERRITORIES”) WHO ARE OF LEGAL AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR JURISDICTION OF RESIDENCE. By participating, Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Seagate Technology LLC (“Sponsor” or “Seagate”), which are binding and final on all matters relating to this Promotion. Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state, territorial and local laws. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
TO ENTER: https://www.seagate.com/ Visit the Seagate ReStore Program landing page (the “Promotion Landing Page”) during the Promotion Period (defined below) and complete and submit the Promotion form with accurate information to return eligible retired drives that are no longer in use to receive a promotional discount code. Participants must follow the instructions in these Official Rules and on the Promotion Landing Page to send Eligible Drive(s) (defined below) to the Seagate designated processing facility designated on the shipping instruction and/or shipping label (“Seagate Return Center”). Upon receiving an Eligible Drive under the Promotion, Seagate or its agent will conduct a verification process to determine eligibility and send the discount code to the eligible Participant via email.
PROMOTION PERIOD: The Promotion starts on April 22nd, 2026 and continues until Seagate terminates or deactivates the Promotion (“Promotion Period”). Seagate may terminate the Promotion at any time by deactivating the Promotion Landing Page. At such time, Seagate will continue to honor according to these Official Rules the Discount Codes issued by Seagate for Submissions received prior to Promotion termination unless, Seagate terminates the Promotion for a cause or reason described in the “Right to Terminate” section below.
PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Any Seagate and non-Seagate internal and external hard disk drives (HDDs) and solid state drives (SSDs), excluding any such products containing batteries (“Eligible Drives”) will be eligible for the Promotion subject to the additional requirements set forth in these Official Rules. Limit five (5) Eligible Drives per Participant returned drive shipment request (“Submission”), and one (1) submission per ninety (90) days. Size and weight requirements apply, no Submission may exceed 12x12x12 inches or 25 lbs. Retailers, Resellers and Distributors are excluded from participating this promotion.
SHIPPING COSTS AND RETURN CENTER. Participant must ship each Submission of Eligible Drives using a Seagate issued ReStore Materials Authorization (“RMA”) within 30 days of UPS shipping label issuance. Seagate is not responsible for shipments for which the carrier cannot provide proof of Participant Submission delivery to Seagate’s designated facility. Seagate is not responsible for loss or damage during transit. No pay-on-delivery shipments will be accepted without prior authorization from Seagate. Shipments arriving at Seagate with additional charges due will be rejected, and You will not be eligible for the Offer or any other benefits under this Promotion for such non-conforming shipments.
NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR STORED DATA. You are responsible for saving or backing up data contained in each Eligible Drive before returning the Eligible Drive to Seagate. Seagate will have no responsibility for any stored data on drives included in any Submission and will have no liability arising out of any damage to, or transfer or loss of stored data. In order to protect Your privacy and other interests in any data on an Eligible Drive, You must delete all data from Your Eligible Drive before returning it to Seagate. By returning Your Eligible Drive to Seagate, You agree to Seagate dispositioning and recycling the Eligible Drive in accordance with these promotion terms. You agree that Seagate may also elect to recertify Eligible Drives for resale by Seagate or its affiliates. Prior to resale by Seagate, recertified products are processed according the Seagate Factory Certification process described at https://www.seagate.com/products/seagate-recertified/ . You also understand that sending an Eligible Drive to Seagate and not deleting all data from the Eligible Drive may result in the transfer of Your data to countries that may not offer the same level of data protection as Your home country and the deletion of Your data on the Eligible Drive, regardless of whether Your Eligible Drive is accepted by Seagate for this Promotion. By returning an Eligible Drive, You are representing and warranting that You have all requisite rights to the Eligible Drive and to the data on the Eligible Drive.
NO MODIFIED PRODUCTS OR OTHER ITEMS. Seagate will not accept items that are not Eligible Drives, nor will Seagate accept Eligible Drives with materials modifications including, missing parts, nonstandard face plates, nonstandard side rails, adhesive tape, labels, permanent markings, or other residue (collectively, “Modifications”) applied to the Eligible Drives by You or Your customers or end users. You agree to return all Eligible Drives in a standard configuration, after removing all Modifications.
SUBMISSION ACCEPTANCE: Seagate will only accept Eligible Drives and Submissions that comply with all applicable laws, statutes, ordinances, regulations, and these official Rules. All returned Eligible Drives are subject to acceptance by Seagate at Seagate’s discretion. Seagate may partially accept a Submission of Eligible Drives without accepting the entire Submission. Seagate may inspect and test any returned Eligible Drives to determine if they are eligible for the Promotion.
PROMOTION: For each Submission of Eligible Drives delivered to Seagate according to these Official Rules, Participant is eligible to receive a discount code for 15% off their next purchase at the Seagate online store at Seagate.com (“Discount Code”). Discount Codes are only redeemable at the Seagate online Store for a new Seagate hard disk drive products. Offer excludes, and may not be applied to the purchase of solid state drives, recertified, or discounted products. Promotional Discount Codes are valid for 90 days after issuance. Each Discount Code may be redeemed at check out for one (1) purchase at the Seagate online store; multiple Discount Codes may not be applied to a single purchase. Participants are eligible to receive, and redeem, only one (1) discount code once every 90 days.
OWNERSHIP AND TRANSFER OF ELIGIBLE DRIVES. All rights to and ownership of the Eligible Drives submitted under this Promotion and any components thereof will become the property of Seagate upon delivery by Participant to Seagate or its authorize agent, and Seagate will have the exclusive right to use the Eligible Drives in any manner in its sole discretion including the refurbishment and resale of the Eligible Drives and/or the components. Participant warrants that it holds all right, title, and interest in and to Eligible Drives and each Submission. Participant coveys to Seagate all rights, title and interest in and to the Eligible Drives and each Submission. Participant shall indemnify and defend Seagate and its affiliates and agents against all claims, disputes, damages, liabilities, losses, and costs incurred by Seagate or its affiliates or agents arising from or related to Participant’s Eligible Drives, Submissions, or participation in this Promotion.
PARTICIPANTS’ PERSONAL INFORMATION: By entering the Promotion, You consent to Seagate’s collection, use and disclosure of Your personal information to administer the Promotion as described in these Official Rules. For additional details on how Seagate manages the personal information it collects, please see Seagate’s Privacy Statement, available at http://www.seagate.com/about/legal-privacy/privacy-statement/. If a Participant has opted-in for future communications, their personal details will be used to provide information regarding Seagate's products, service offerings and details of future promotions, consistent with applicable law. In the event of an inconsistency between these Official Rules and the Sponsor’s Privacy Statement, these Official Rules shall prevail. Sponsor partners with third parties to administer promotions and may share Your personal information with these third-party partners, who will handle the information according to their own privacy policies.
RELEASE OF TECHNICAL LIABILITY: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE PROMOTION LANDING PAGE OR A SEAGATE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, misdirected, undelivered or garbled entries ; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind which may occur, whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Promotion, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Promotion, the processing of entries or in any Promotion-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to Participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Promotion or downloading materials from or use of the Seagate ReStore Promotion Landing Page.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: Except where prohibited by local law, by participating, Participant agrees that Sponsor, and its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by Participants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Promotion including but not limited to any loss or use of data of any returned or Eligible Drives. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Promotion Landing Page or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. In the event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the Participant and must comply with these Official Rules. Participant is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses. This Promotion is governed by the laws of California, United States of America law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state, and local laws. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Promotion must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in California, United States of America. In the event of an inconsistency or conflict of the terms of these Official Rules with any terms of the Promotion Landing Page or policy, the terms of these Official Rules shall prevail.
RIGHT TO TERMINATE: Should any portion of the Promotion be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Promotion in whole or in part, and if terminated, at its discretion, fulfill the Promotion and Discount Codes only for eligible Participants with non-suspect entries or Submission received prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor.
COUNTRY SPECIFIC NOTICES: If any provision of these Official Rules is invalid under the law, rules or regulations of a particular country, state, or locality, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provision.
