On the Road: Seagate Joins Intel to Help Resellers Create Powerful Technology Solutions

MUNICH, Germany - Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX) will participate in the Fall 2004 Intel Channel Conference (ICC) in EMEA, a series of training events that offer resellers, product integrators and service providers a first-hand look at the latest technology trends and helps them create the best possible solutions for their customers. Thousands of participants, including many members of the Seagate Partner Program, have taken advantage of this opportunity in each of the past several years. Seagate's ICC presence will provide an update on Seagate's comprehensive hard disc drive portfolio including products for the emerging whitebook market and new Serial ATA (SATA) solutions with Native Command Queuing.

Intel has been running ICC road shows across the globe twice a year since 2000. Intel works together with partners like Seagate to tailor the events to the specific needs and characteristics of each region. Seagate will participate in over 50 of the Intel Channel Conferences in EMEA (see attached list). In addition to its presentation, Seagate will also showcase its latest product range at its booth.

"In the last few years, a myriad of new applications for hard drives has evolved - from consumer electronics to new storage systems - and each has its own very specific requirements. By participating in the ICC we will help system builders, retailers, integrators and consultants achieve a competitive advantage through in-depth knowledge of new disc drive technologies like SATA with Native Command Queuing. In addition, we want to show them how they can address the emerging whitebook segment with our products, helping them deliver the most advanced and reliable storage solutions to their customers," said Hans-Dieter Blaser, Seagate executive director, EMEA Sales and Marketing.

Seagate (NYSE:STX) is the worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of hard disc drives, providing products for a wide-range of Enterprise, Desktop, Mobile Computing and Consumer Electronics applications.
