How to reboot the Ethernet Disk: Home Edition and Internet Space

Performing a shutdown or reboot on the Ethernet Disk Mini: Home Edition and Internet Space.

There are two ways to perform a shutdown or reboot on the Ethernet Disk Mini: Home Edition and Internet Space.

The first way is possible if physical access is possible to the device. For the Ethernet Disk Mini: Home Edition, press and hold the lighted blue button on the front of the drive until it begins to flash. Release the button. Within about 1 minute, the drive will shut down. Pressing the blue button again will reactivate the drive. On the Internet Space, flip the switch to the off position on the back of the drive.

The drive can also be restarted or shut down through the web administration.

Connect to the drive through the homelacie.com portal page.

Type in the Portal name, and then the administrator's user name and password. Click Sign In when finished.

This menu gives the option to Shut Down (immediately power down the drive) or Restart (shut down the drive, and power the drive back on automatically.)
