How to install SSD Touch when the Google Play Store is not available

It is recommended that you download the SSD Touch app from the Google Play Store which can be found by clicking this link. However, not all locations or devices may have access to the Google Play Store. For these cases the SSD Touch app will need to be sideloaded on to your supported Android device - SSD Touch Compatibility List. This allows an app to be installed from outside the Google Play Store.

Sideloading an app requires that the device allow installation from unknown sources. The steps for removing this protection vary between devices and Android versions, please consult your manufacture for exact steps.

Here are some general steps:

  • Open Settings
  • Open Security
    • NOTE: Security may be located under the General tab on some devices
  • Toggle to enable “Unknown sources”
  • Click Allow when prompted

Download the SSD Touch app from the following link – SSD Touch app APK Download

Once downloaded, locate SSD-Touch.apk to install the SSD Touch app.
