Is there a regional coding for Blu-ray movie discs?

Movie production companies can choose whether or not to implement a regional coding on a Blu-ray disc movie title. The Blu-ray disc regional coding system divides the world into only 3 regions, called regions A, B and C. A Blu-ray disc player will play all titles of its corresponding region plus any movie that does not have regional coding applied to it.

Region A: North America, Central America, South America, Korea, Japan, South East Asia

Region B: Europe, The Middle East, Africa, Australia, New Zealand

Region C: Russia, India, China, The Rest of The World
